My first time making 'sweet potato talam' for my child birthday.
It tastes really sweet and nice.
Ingredients
A: Purple Layer
- 300 g purple sweet potato ( boiled and then mashed)
- 75 g rice flour
- 75 g tapioca flour
- 150 ml coconut milk/ milk
- 150 ml water
- 200 g sugar
- a little salt
B:White Layer
- 100 g tapioca flour
- 200 ml coconut milk/ milk
- 200 ml water
- 2 tablespoon rice flour
- a little salt
Method
A: Purple Layer
- Blend all the ingredients together
- Pour into the greased baking tin
- Steam for 20 or 30 minutes
B:White Layer
- Blend all the ingredients together.
- Pour mixture over the purple layer.
- Steam for another 30 minutes until cooked.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting

75 g tepung beras
75 g tepung ubi kayu
150 ml santan / susu
150 ml air
200 g gula
garam sedikit
B: Lapisan Putih
100 g tepung ubi kayu
200 ml santan / susu
200 ml air
2 sudu besar tepung beras
garam sedikit
Kaedah
A: Lapisan Ungu
Kisar semua bahan bersama-sama
Tuangkan ke dalam tin pembakar/loyang
Kukus selama 20 atau 30 minit

B: Lapisan Putih
Kisar semua bahan-bahan bersama-sama.
Tuangkan adunan ke atas lapisan ungu.
Kukus selama 30 minit lagi hingga masak.
Biarkan sejuk sepenuhnya sebelum memotong
